Chapoutier Belleruche Côtes du Rhône Rosé

Region: Rhone Valley, France

Variety: Grenache, Syrah

Bright salmon in colour, with lively, wild berry fruit flavours and a mineral back note. The finish is crisp and balanced with a lingering aftertaste. A very good balance of acid and minerality. Truly a delight, not like one of those 'soda pop' rosés.

For Michel Chapoutier, the most important thing in a wine is its sense of place, its expression of terroir. His home, an-cestral, personal and professional, is one of the truly great terroirs of France: the hill of Hermitage.”

The name Chapoutier has been present in the Rhône Valley since 1808. In 1879, the distant ancestor Polydor Chapoutier was the first to begin to buy vines, thus moving from the status of wine-grower of an estate to that of a viticulturist, a wine producer and a businessman. The pioneering spirit was already present in the family.

Michel Chapoutier is one of the most highly regarded winemakers in France. Since taking over his family firm in 1990 at age 26, Michel Chapoutier has transformed the winery into a leading Rhône Valley producer. Its desire has always remained to work on a difference of taste, that small specific gustative touch, specific to each terroir and to each soil.

He combines the modern and the traditional: crusading for biodynamic winemaking, while expanding operations around the globe and experimenting with cutting edge winemaking techniques.
