Canard - Duchene Classic Brut Rosé N/V

Region: Montagne de Reims, France

Variety: Pinot Noir, Pinot Meunier, Chardonnay

A light pink colour for this Champagne rose. On the nose, the fruit is reminiscent of summer red berries such as raspberries; it also has hints of hedgerows, giving a complex and delicate nose. Spice and menthol notes can also be detected. The palate is rounded, fresh, reflecting the fruitiness on the nose. Precise and very crisp with a lasting impression of freshness.

Canard-Duchêne is unique in its origins, history and style.

The Champagne  house has been located in Ludes, in the Montagne de Reims National Park, since 1868. Its founders, Victor Canard and Léonie Duchêne, both well-known characters in Champagne, were granted the right by the Russian Imperial Family to adopt its coat of arms as the family emblem. The crowned two-headed eagle has thus appeared on every Canard-Duchêne label since the end of the 19th century.

From 1978 to 2003, the house was under the ownership of LVMH. It is now part of the family owned Alain Thienot Group.
