Mehul A. Desai - Founder & Chairman alt

Mehul A. Desai is the driving force of Mail Order Solutions. His vision and focus have led the company to establish standards and business models that have proven exemplary for a small set up to grow exponentially in a short span. A Sales & Marketing veteran, his journey to set up a business venture of his own took wings with the Regency Group in 1997 with partners Wesley Wood & Dharti Desai.
 

Regency specialised in outsourced Print production and Distribution for International Direct Marketers and Advertisers. To put it simply, delivery of mails from the printer to the customer’s door step was an unheard of concept which made the Company an industry leader by implementing and combining high end technology as well as manual labour which offered clients a great cost reduction. With his in depth knowledge of the Indian marketplace Mehul has been instrumental in defining the company's relationship with its clients in India and establishing a seamless Bank Card Syndication program and launching "Regency Rewards", a successful first of its kind co-op marketing program integrating targeted and one on one messages and brand building promotions for advertisers thirsty for more advertising space.
 

Mehul achieved the next milestone with Mail Order Solutions in 2003 which is the exclusive printing arm of the Regency Group and has fast become a force to reckon with in the industry.

Amongst his goals for the Group is to position MOS as a world-class direct marketing organization and to provide unmatched support and service to the company's constituents, including business operations and the executive management team. With Mehul’s tenacity, today MOS has a plush all encompassing print production facility which houses the latest in technology, processes and aims to be a INR1000 million plus venture soon.
 

An avid cricket fan and graduate from Mumbai University, Mehul started his career as a Sales Executive at Procter & Gamble India Ltd. and rose to senior positions in companies like Modi Xerox Ltd, Real Value Appliances Ltd, and Atlaz Telecommunications Ltd. Mehul was Vice President (Sales & Marketing) with Atlaz before he launched his own enterprise, Regency in 1997. Mehul's forte has been his skill to "sell a refrigerator to an Eskimo" and he uses that talent now to hone in deals, conducting training sessions with his staff & vendors.
 

Mehul is married to a working Professional in the Fragrance industry and has an Engineer son who plans to pursue Business Management soon. Mehul is on Board of Advisor for the DMA, India and has been a speaker at various Industry events and seminars.
 

Dharti Desai – Founder & CEO alt

Dharti is a compulsive entrepreneur. She and her brother, Mehul A. Desai, are the founders of FineWinesnMore (FWM). Dharti has been instrumental in conceptualizing, researching and setting up a strategic communications platform for FWM. FWM is as an educational, communications and interactive tool for wine consumers from all walks of life, be it a novice or a connoisseur. FWM leverages Dharti’s group companies’ 15+ years of valuable experience in direct marketing in India.
 

Dharti and Mehul are also founders of Regency Direct Marketing India Pvt. Ltd, and Mail Order Solutions India Pvt. Ltd., one a direct marketing consulting company and the other a state of the art print production company – both located in Mumbai, India. Dharti saw the potential India had to offer much before the outsourcing boom and established a pioneering position for herself and the company in direct marketing in India and significantly heightened the company's prominence within the industry since 1997.
 

She has been the key architect in setting the overall strategic direction of all her companies, patiently awakening a country to the hitherto unknown direct marketing space and now the world of wine as well, sourcing key clients and vendors, working with the local nuances of the country and facilitating the integration of direct marketing consulting and bank card syndication. With the help of her direct marketing companies she researched on the concept and strategy for FWM for over 2 years before starting the company in January of 2007. She coined the name FineWinesnMore and has managed to make her new enterprise an industry leader in innovation, credibility, and education for wine consumers in India. After five years, thanks to Dharti’s vision and push for innovation and creativity, brand FWM has managed very good equity in India and now Dharti is busy pushing for FWM’s first wine retail venture, a unique and the only one of its kind concept in India.
 

Dharti has been invited as a speaker to conventions of the Direct Marketing Association (DMA), USA and is the author of "DM in India Guidebook" (www.rdmipl.com) co-sponsored by the DMA, USA. She is a member of the DMA, USA, International Council of the DMA, the Direct Marketing Ideas Club of NY and also of Asian Women in Business, NY.
 

A single mother of a 13 year old daughter, Dharti is a graduate of Wilson College, Mumbai University (India) and now divides her time between the USA and India. She is fluent in French and also taught for many years at the Alliance Francaise in New York and India.
 

Craig W. Wedge – Chief Operating Officer alt

Craig W. Wedge renowned international wine consultant and Sommelier, now Chief Operating Officer – FineWinesnMore

Craig is a results driven, self motivated and skilled wine professional with a 25 year international wine background. He has worked on projects in Australia and India with additional experience in Southern and Central Asia and Northern Europe. His background includes completion of technical qualifications in wine sciences, wine marketing, and wine education, with additional professional qualifications in commercial cookery and hotel operations.

From beginnings in Five Star hotel groups like the Sheraton Hotels, Hilton Hotels and Southern Pacific Hotel Corporation to some of Australia’s pre-eminent fine wine agencies and then throughout India and across Asia as an exclusive wine consultant for Marriott International.

Craig is equipped with outstanding ideation, analytical, and leadership abilities, and is a motivated self-starter, cooperative leader and team player, with an outstanding ability to converse with various individuals and groups. He is also an articulate communicator and problem solver possessing the initiative to meet the demands of our ambitious company objectives. Craig also has an exemplified knowledge in planning and implementing strategies and processes to secure the best value and continuous improvement for the company. He is also armed with extensive travel experience across Italy, France, Northern Europe, Asia and Australia.

 

Mithil Khanolkar - VP National Sales

Mithil has been with FineWinesnMore since 2009 and has a very impressive background in the hospitality industry, having worked in luxury hotels like The Oberoi, Mumbai and The Soho Hotel, London. During these engagements, he developed a passion for wine and decided that he wanted to be in the wine business.
 

At FWM, he began in the Marketing department and quickly climbed the ranks due to his love for challenges and his ability to network. Selling imported wines in India is like pulling teeth, but Mithil revels in it! He has proved to be the best sales person in FWM and has brought in impressive key accounts like the JW Marriott, InterContinental, Novotel, Two One Two Bar & Grill, Amadeus and many more! He also trains and manages a very young and dynamic Sales & Marketing team. He has recently been instrumental in identifying new expansion areas for the company and is one of the core team members for a novel wine café concept being set up for FWM.
 

Mithil holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Hotel & Tourism Management Studies (Mumbai University) and also has a Post Graduate Diploma in Hospitality Management from the UK. He loves travelling and has particular interest in Music, Football, Motorsports and Adventure Sports and will travel to any corner of the world for his favourite band – Pearl Jam!

 

Abimalek M David alt

 

Abimalek M David, a versatile individual, born and brought up in Thrissur the cultural capital of Kerala. Popularly known as David to all, (as his first name meaning father of kings is difficult to pronounce) he brings to FineWinesnMore, over thirty years of experience in BIO alcohol products in India having worked with The United Breweries Group for over twenty years and then with Mohan Brothers and Sultania Trade. He joined FineWinesnMore on 1st May 2011 and as VP Sales and Operations, he is responsible for sales and the ever challenging logistics to a diverse client base including hospitality majors ,fine dine, retail outlets and airlines for our fabulous range of wine from the 22 producers who make up the FineWinesnMore family.

An avid philatelist (contributing to Encyclopedia of Indian Revenue and Court Fee Stamps), a high altitude trekker (been up to Everest Base Camp 18,500 feet) an environmentally and culturally conscious citizen (founder member of INTACH), a deep thinker (life member of Krishnamurthi Foundation) and overall a conscious human being (active committee member YMCA), he enjoys Jazz Music( founder member Jazz India) as well as Western and Indian classical music. Primarily a people’s man, he thrives most amongst people who enjoy good wines and great company.
